jammy, have you ever driven one?

Have you looked up reviews on the petrolhead forums.

Go away, do that and then continue with some I nsight because right now your looking foolish as the whole world knows that the E46 M3 is right up there.

Start with this:-

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8h_IcLn4JSg

And once again, watch the language. I'm not talking shite, you just don't agree which is fine but ease down with the tone of your language.

Last warning, and I'm being lenient because actually you were on a last warning.

Oooop's silly me, I did in fact mean BMW M3 E46.

As stated on previous post - No I haven't driven an E45.
And no I haven't looked up reviews on petrolheads.
I drive a Citroen Berlingo, which judging by ring lap times is in with a shout against the M3.
You vid is to long (And boring) to watch on my kindle fire and net is slow here on the rig, but I guess it's about the woes of electronic car managment (cheating / to clever for it's own good) etc etc
Well im afraid its called progress....And is the dogs dangers imho
Its what makes the GTR superior to the E45.
And not only in speed and acceleration, but in traction and ballance as well.

And ya dont want a poxy Golf, you want one of these........
Civic Type R.jpg
306bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that enables it to cover the 0-62mph sprint in 5.7sec and hit a 167mph top speed.

And save rerself a good few quid into the bargain at under 30K.

No point having a sports car that looks like a family shopping mobile...!!!

Not sure about that, But I thought the thrill of a response had.....

So I hope you have had time to think about your frankly Ludicrous statement that the E45 is the "BEST SPORTS CAR EVER" and that you will immediately apologies to all concerned and retract your statement forthwith.

Perhaps, out of those he's driven, that's what Andrew thinks? I do like M3s myself (and the E46), but as discussed elsewhere, it's not really a sports car, as indeed this isn't [although it has sports car performance], which I'm currently enjoying driving.

Mercedes C350 CDI, with Brabus D6 S conversion. 330bhp, 760Nm of torque, and 0-60mph in 5.7 secs:

Some pics of the inside, and a few of the Brabus bits:

4-spoke Leather/Alcantara black Sports steering wheel (this is obviously a commercial picture, as my car is of course R/H drive. See last pic for the 'actual'):

When I bought it, it came with rear tyres of, shall we say, somewhat 'dubious' provenance (although they were brand new) The wheels are 19" rims:

... but which give next to zero grip in the wet, as I discovered whilst going round a roundabout up in Scotland (in Erskine)! So, today, I'm going down to ATS and having some Pirelli P-Zero Corsas fitted, unfortunately at some cost (!), but I don't believe in skimping on tyres (especially rear ones), with all that power on tap.

Shown here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-jrSRqdDvE and here (although the American guy is rather annoying): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmbzymfBe1M

They're about as close to proper race tyres as you can get for a road car, and are said to improve acceleration, although exactly how, I'm not sure. Looking forward to driving the car though, after they've been fitted!

Marco.

I've driven a Mitsubishi Evo IX FQ360 and I really liked the drive of that - much better than the Subaru Impreza WRX STI I have also driven.

I also really liked the Vauxhall VX220 I drove which surprised me as I wasn't very impressed with the Lotus Elise (The Elise I drove had the K series engine - sounded like a bag of spanners).

A friend has just bought a Ferrari 458 so I'll have a chance for a spin in that next week :). He had a Jaguar F Type R before that and that was very quick indeed - the Ferrari is quicker still!
