In the meantime I've killed the negative rail on one channel of mine, it's been all over the house the past few weeks in and out of case, in the rack and out.

I shall inspect for bad connections tomorrow.

I hope you get it sorted swiftly mate - perhaps a connection from the parasitic Calvin boards has broken?

It was a dead led in the ccs on the negative rail, number 6 in a string of nine, weird. Sound fine now.

Very odd it turned out to be an LED - still, as long as it doesn’t fail again....

I'd love to get to hear one at some point. Planning on building my own MM stage soon when I clear the decks as a bit of fun but never heard the Paradise stage which by all accounts sounds epic.

It's a shame those of you who have them live so far away or I'd offer to host a day (or two even with a curry night thrown in!) of listening in a phono bake-off...or bring whatever you have type of affair. I'd have to clear the room of the large number of speakers currently residing there first  .....

You're always welcome to take a ride down to South Wales Paaul, its only an hour. Or I'm happy to bring mine along at some point.

Are you using a MM cartridge then Paul? Of course the Paradise is a MC only stage.

I have both Mark. I use a Tron MC stage and a diy Hagerman Bugle2 MM stage. I have two decks, my GyroSE/309M/ZYX MC and a Garrard401/Hadcock242Export/MP-500 combo.

I'm very happy with the Tron (Graham's designs are exceptional when it comes to S/N performance) but the Bugle I knocked up from a kit in about 2 hours some years back as a stand-in and just never got around to building something better.

Thanks for the kind offer Chris, and I'd love to visit sometime in the year but time is very limited for me presently.
