How about

Nice symmetry and a central gnd.
It's not what I had in mind but it's a prototype so it can be changed later. I always put inputs one above the other, left at top, right at bottom, and outputs the same, with a big space between input and output and loading sockets next to inputs... My intention in this is for it to be logical and intuitive rather than visually symmetrical.

Isn't having left and right on left and right sides as above intuitive, even the gnd is in the middle, which it is theoreticallty.

Right at bottom and left top in two rows is a bit of an unwritten industry standard though...

OK leave the rear panel undrilled and I'll do it myself.

Probably better if you stick to inside the box Jez. Play to your strengths.

let's give it another go then... Make what you currently have as the outputs the inputs. put red at bottom and black at top. make the ones you have as inputs the loading sockets, red at bottom and black at top. Ground post can stay where it is. Move the sockets you have as "Load" to the middle of the panel and they are the outputs, again red at bottom and black at top. if anything about that is less than clear then let me know and I'll draw a diagram and post it here.

What do you fancy for sockets, Nuetrik gold plated? Do you have PSU sockets and plugs?

Spot on! Great. No I don't have power plugs and sockets in stock but I think I have some reasonable no brand phono sockets that look the part.

I'll sort em, easier for cutting that way.

-RCA's ordered.

I'll check my PSU socket supplies tomorrow.
