Actually, might be white on black, I’m not sure / I’m sure that will also be OK.....

Well it doesn’t look like this phonostage will ever leave the designers home - a shame :(.

Meanwhile, on the Art of Sound forum someone is selling a Paradise stage. It doesn’t have the Calvin output boards fitted but this could be done retrospectively by the new owner. They have also managed to fit the whole thing into two reasonably compact cases (rather than the more common four).

I've had half a dozen enquiries about the Paradise as a result of that thread.

If only there was another phonostage that they could try of a similar quality at a similar price, in decent looking boxes that was ready to demo...

Just how close/better was this new phonostage compared to a fully specc'd Paradise?

No one more wants to see this out there than me... not just this but a multitude of other products I've designed. If the casework had been here a month earlier during the post xmas lull it would have been no problem but its arrival coincided with a load of repair work, rebuilds, re-capping work etc coming in and I have to put little things like eating and paying the rent before ALL else. It will be ready as soon as I can fit it in without pissing off any of my repair/rebuild customers.
My aim is to slot it in after the rebuild of a vintage class A Sugden that's nearly finished now (look out for thread with photos on pfm shortly) so it should be soon folks...

Looking forward to it Jez. Life gets in the way sometimes.

Andy, on a first listen at Jez's, there's very little between them. Jez's was a touch more propulsive, the Paradise a touch better layered. I'm seriously looking forward to hearing it in my own system where I can better judge.
