I’ve just been playing this:

Colin Stetson ‘Sorrow’

I can’t take responsibility for finding this, my ftiends Paul and Si recommended it to me.

I’ve also, yesterday, listened to these two recent purchases:

The first one is an EP (45 RPM) by Aldous Harding - sound quality is excellent.

The second is the most recent release by Agnes Obel as is an odd mix of songs that inspired her - but not redone by her, the originals - plus some of her own stuff. Unfortunately this recording is rather sharp, digital and almost squeaky clean.

Very appropriate given the 75th anniversary of D.day, a record to bring a tear to ones eye.

The Holocaust is something we should remember in memorial for eternity.

This record epitomises it.

I'm still listening to Aldous Harding, Designer. After some 18 plays and 2 live concerts I still like her. Like the height under a pilot.

Seeing her again in November. :)

Mesmerising.
